The Must-Pack Baby-Proofing Tool When Traveling with a Toddler

If you're traveling with a baby or toddler (or both) in tow, it's likely that you're packing extra bags for diapers, snacks, games... whew! The list can add up fast. So before you start packing yet another bag full of baby-proofing accessories, consider taking just one thing to make your home away from home safer for little ones (and it weighs just a few ounces):

A roll of masking tape! It can stand in for an array of baby-proffing products and it hardly takes up any space in your luggage (heck, you can wear it on your wrist if you have to!). Use it to:

  • Cover electric outlets and switches.
  • Fix loose cords to the floor to prevent tripping and tugging.
  • Wind around pairs of facing cabinet handles to deter opening.
  • Pad sharp corners of furnishings.
What are your baby-proofing tips for when you're traveling and staying in hotels or other accommodations? Please share!
