Trend Alert: In Your Face Florals
Move over geometrics, because large scale and bright flowers are taking over in a big way.
Above: think you could handle this wallpaper in your kitchen? (as seen in Holly Becker’s Decorate book, via Collected Blog)
These mostly orange, hot pink and red blooms read as either New Wave Victorian, like a cross section of Frida Kahlo’s closet, or the most lovingly tended psychedelic garden you’ve ever seen. Case in point: the Blendworth wallpaper above, as seen on House to Home.
In any case, look for huge vibrant flowers (like the Esperanza bedding by Anthropologie above, or these cushions and fabric by bluebellgray) in bedding, upholstery, wall hangings, and pillows.
Still not sure?
Maybe just this amazing collage by Anne Ten Donkelaar instead.
