Q: My 15-month-old has recently started climbing, mostly on our living room furniture. I'm concerned about her taking a tumble and would like to provide a safer spot for her to hone her new skills. I think a tuffet of some sort might do the trick. I'm not a fan of traditional bean bag chairs and the fatboy is too big in size and price ($230). I was considering the Tie-1-on ottoman from CB2 ($100), which is still a bit of an investment and not exactly space-saving, but worth it if it actually gets use. Have others found that their kids enjoy a tuffet (or similar) for climbing or lounging? Any other suggestions on how to let my budding mountaineer stretch her legs indoors?

Editor: My only suggestion would be to try to buy something that you can use later either in your child's space or elsewhere in your home. Readers, what do you think? Have you found something for your infant/young toddler to safely climb on at home?
