Springtime Design: Tulips as Inspiration

Springtime Design: Tulips as Inspiration

Sure, it may have been a super soggy weekend in Seattle, but the tulips are still around, wrapping up their glorious, color-saturated spring season. On Sunday, The New York Times Magazine had a gorgeous image of a tulip field in the Netherlands (see the stunning portfolio by Julian Faulhaber here), which got me thinking more about this cheerful bloom.

From the iconic Saarinen Tulip chair to tulip-print pillows and wallpaper, this flower is certainly a happy image to place in any room. Do you have more tulip inspiration? Please share!
