Sunday morning, we will all (save Arizona, Hawaii and parts of Indiana) set our clocks back an hour. Our nights will begin sooner and our days will get increasingly shorter. But in the expanding darkness, there is some light as Vitra Design Museum has decided to produce George Nelson's Ceramic Clocks for the first time ever.
Originally designed in the early 1950s, these clocks never made it further than the early production stage. Using the original plans and prototypes, Vitra is finally manufacturing these ceramic beauties for George Nelson fans everywhere.
The clocks are available in three shapes and sizes for $290 from authorized Vitra dealers. These dealers include Vitra in Los Angeles and San Francisco as well as Zinc Details and Limn in San Francisco.
