Turning A Furniture Regret Around

Turning A Furniture Regret Around

A few years ago we bought a piece of furniture that we kind of regretted when it first arrived in our home. The truth is that it wasn't as relaxing as our previous super comfy sofa. So why did we change?

Our style had changed and our very white, shabby chic style sofa wasn't doing it for us anymore plus it was a few years old. When we spotted a more modern and gorgeous gray sofa option, we counted our pennies and decided to go for it. It wasn't completely on a whim since we had gone to the store and sat in the sofa a few times to make sure we liked it. After the sofa was delivered, we learned that sitting in a store for 10 minutes and lounging after a day's work are two different things. Since returning the sofa wasn't an option (delivery charges were too expensive), we decided to add a bunch of large throw pillows and this has really made a difference. Now we get to enjoy the look of our new sofa and the comfort factor is there plus the pillows add color and texture. By making the small and affordable addition, we turned our furniture regret into a furniture score.

Have you ever had a furniture regret that you turned into a positive?
