When the world shut down early last year and many began working from home, the idea of constructing a “WFH shed” in the backyard became a very appealing thought, and some ended up carving out unused spaces in their houses (or yards) for home office purposes. HouseholdQuotes.co.uk pondered what work-from-home sheds of popular fictional characters would look like and designed a collection of six office sheds based on the office spaces of some favorite characters.

One of the six concept sheds is that of the Duke of Hastings’ from Netflix’s hit series “Bridgerton”. In the show, we saw Simon Basset (a.k.a. The Duke) working/trying not to be distracted by wife Daphne Bridgerton in his regal home office painted a canary yellow and accessorized with warm, deep wood tones.

So…what would Simon’s office look like in shed form? Well, perhaps something like this:

The outside is complete with classy shaped shrubbery and huge cottage windows, and that bright yellow that seems to pop up anywhere and everywhere in the show.

The inside is painted to match and comes with lush yellow drapes, a brass chandelier, and an upholstered leather chair fit for royalty.

HouseholdsQuotes.co.uk then pondered what Michael Scott’s at-home office may look like if he was told to work from home instead of heading into the Dunder Mifflin office in Scranton, Pennsylvania.

To stay true to his workplace roots, Scott would likely erect (that’s what she said) a concrete structure akin to the Dunder Mifflin office building and keep things simple and practical.

Inside, he’d make his WFH office just as close to his real one as possible. Clean lines, sticky notes on the monitor, a Newton’s Cradle toy on the filing cabinet, his Dundee featuring prominently, and, of course, his World’s Best Boss mug.

And what if Leslie Knope of “Parks and Recreation” was told to stay at home rather than report to Pawnee’s town offices? Like Scott, having to work from home would probably be a punch to the gut for her, but Knope would make the most of it, setting up a cottage-inspired WFH shed and dubbing it “Shed Hall.”

HouseholdQuotes.co.uk believes Knope would model her shed after Pawnee’s City Hall with the Indiana State Seal plastered above her desk, alongside her diplomas and other certifications. Knope would also need to bring along her portraits of inspirational women like Hillary Clinton, Kamala Harris, and Nancy Pelosi.

You can check out the other three work-from-home designs, including the office sheds of “Mad Men”’s Don Draper, “The Simpsons”’ Mr. Burns, and Dumbledore from “Harry Potter”, over at HouseholdQuotes.co.uk.
