Ty Pennington Just Made a Beautiful Case for an Outdoor Bathtub
HGTV star Ty Pennington is currently on vacation in Sonoma, aka Wine Country, in Northern California, enjoying the upscale vacation region like a boss. In between sipping glasses of rosé, lounging in picturesque pools, and taking in the staggeringly gorgeous scenery, the home design personality made sure to provide his fans with some serious outdoor design inspiration — making the case for an outdoor bathtub in a major way.
“Tub for two,” he captioned the image of a perfectly minimalist oval shaped bathtub, tucked away in a small shed-like building that appeared to be built just for the purpose of housing an outdoor bathing space. The setup is what bathtub lovers’ dreams are made of: a little private nook to spend an afternoon or evening soaking in the (semi) privacy of an open space.
The photo was taken at MacArthur Place Hotel & Spa, a gorgeous, award-winning NorCal hideaway where outdoor tubs and showers are perks of staying in one of the luxury hotel’s most exclusive suites.
The resort has shared other photos of their outdoor bathing spaces, which are just as inspiring. All of them seem to have the same design aesthetic: White shower or tub juxtaposition with dark fixtures, resulting in that perfectly minimalist but slightly farmhouse feel.
As part of Pennington’s adventure, he also “went off the grid” and did a little glamping, sharing a photo from inside of the seriously cool rustic-safari tented space where he stayed.
