We've all seen the Sharon Montrose's beautiful photographs of animals, and they appear frequently in kid's rooms (especially white, minimalist, Scandinavian-style kids' rooms!). Animal portraits are a great option for kids' decor, so I've rounded up a few other options that might do very well in a child's room.

1. Minimal Modern Baby Duck in Mid Century Bowl, (above) $30-125 (various sizes) by Lucy Snowe Photography is one of about fifty animal prints (mostly birds and farm animals) for offer.

2. The Bed Series, $36 for three 8 x 10s from Etsy shop Machel Spence Photo. A series of three photos of unique animals on a dollhouse bed: a praying mantis, a bearded dragon (pictured), and a cockatiel.

3. Red Squirrel Keeps a Lookout, $57 for 41 x 36 cm image from Natural History Museum UK. Finnish photographer Kai Fagerström stumbled across some abandoned houses, only to discover they were actually inhabited by woodland creatures. He took a beautiful series of photos collected as The House in the Woods, capturing these creatures in their found habitat.

4. Fetch 2, $35 for an 8 x 10 print from Carli Davidson. Perhaps best known for her high-speed photos of dogs shaking off water, Davidson also has beautiful prints of dogs fetching, cats jumping, and birds in flight.

5. Lion, South Africa, $20 for an 11 x 16 print at National Geographic. This shot by Chris Johns captures a lion as it walks against a gritty wind in the Nossob Riverbed, Kalahari Gemsbok National Park, South Africa.
