Unique DIY Lamp Made From Ikea Parts

The problem with Ikea—if we had to have one—would be that sometimes, you feel a little bit like sheep during the whole process. Obviously, yes, the showroom and warehouse makes you feel lie you're being herded. But even when you're home, all said and done with the store and the increasingly difficult assembly instructions, you realize that your apartment is just becoming an Ikea showroom yourself, just like all your friends'. That is, unless you use a little ingenuity like this guy and make a stellar, modern table lamp from unexpected Ikea parts. Do you see it?

Instructables.com user Panchristo made this lamp out of two VURM bottle racks back-to-back together with a LERSTA lamp as support.

What they ended up with is a lamp that is ever so stylish, minimal and modern (just how we like it) and surprisingly unique considering it was born in Ikea. And the awesome circle pattern it projects on the wall when it's on is pretty stellar, too.

Make your own with these instructions.
