There’s a shop in Oakland that we keep hearing about, and we finally got the full scoop! Fresh from a successful trunk show of Kat Geiger’s gorgeous terrariums, Urban Indigo is a great hot spot for distinctive home furnishings and accessories and a gift for any occasion.
Cynthia Bragdon, Urban Indigo’s owner, began her career in graphics, and quickly transitioned into ceramics. She has since moved into the Grand Lake neighborhood, and added finely curated objects to her beautiful store.
We love the idea “from the smallest household item to an original work of art, we make design affordable for design-minded people.” Affordable + design = happy campers in this household!
They have a shiny new website here with a great glimpse of their fantastic inventory, as well as a blog where they showcase their latest new and vintage finds. Our current favorite? Check out the jade colored glass cake plates…
