Use A Craft Punch To Make A Sustainable Sippy Cup

1101sippycup.jpg The sippy cup is a rather ubiquitous item in a household with toddlers. We rather like the idea of making your own from small glass containers, but how do you get a hole in the lid that doesn't let liquid out?

We checked in with Emily over at Remarkable Home who is the mother to 5 boys. She's a busy lady and is always looking for ways to reuse things around the house. This small jar quickly became a sippy cup with the help of a craft punch.

They're called a Crop-a-dile and you can find them in the scrapbook and riveting section of your local hobby or craft store. It creates the perfect size hole (through thin metal) that allows a straw to sit inside without any leaking when it's tipped over. Neat right? We thought so too. You can check out more on the idea at Remarkable Home.
