An All-Natural Wood Stain: Coffee!

An All-Natural Wood Stain: Coffee!

Do you have kitchen cabinets that would benefit from a facelift? How about a camp chest or chair? Instead of using store bought stain try putting the juice from your morning coffee brew to work in a new way.

Coffee has been used for centuries as a natural dye for many things in life. It's only recently we've stopped using it with all of our new fangled stains and paint products. If you're familiar with the cold press coffee process, the process is very similar.

Our friends over at Charles & Hudson tell us that if we let our grounds steep overnight and then drain the liquid and discard the grounds, what's left is a beautiful product that can be applied with a brush like any other over the counter product. Use more for a darker tone, less (or add water) for something lighter. As a bonus, your finished product will smell amazing.
