Hot Tip: Use Coffee Grounds To Keep Fireplace Dust Down

You know there are many uses for coffee grounds. And since our need for a morning cup of joe isn't going anywhere, here's one more way to put them to use that's especially fitting for fireplace season.

If you aren't already saving your grounds for other purposes and you happen to have a functioning fire place, you're in luck. Cleaning out the ashes in the bottom can be a tricky job. It's always a balancing act between getting the ashes in the trap or in a bag without really disturbing them so they fly back up in the air.

As an alternative tactic, gently mix in leftover coffee grounds to help weigh the mixture down and keep it grounded when cleaning time comes around. We love little things that make life that much easier and this is definitely one of those things!

Do you have a great tip to repurpose something that's generally heading towards the trash can? Make sure to let us know in the comments below!
