Use Clipped Goods to Spruce Up the Home Office

Every designer will tell you about the rule of repetition, so why not incorporate it into your classy home office decor? One of our favorite techniques is combining clip boards or binder clips to add an eye-catching focal point on a wall.

Above, the vintage Mattson studio incorporates modern with a shabby chic style that's not only perfect for the creatives that work there, but provides some interesting ideas that we just can't wait to steal.

Using binder clips and old vintage signage letters makes for a tangible and eye-catching centerpiece. Even though we're not downplaying the trendy chalkboard and pull-down maps used in elementary schools - those are both awesome in their own right - we certainly love the simplicity of the execution and imagine it'd be a fun thrift hunt to find something that we'd want displayed in own our studio offices.

Another idea from Martha Stewart is taking regular clipboards and adding your favorite wallpaper or leftover samples to create a one-of-a-kind look on any of your home office walls.
