We love mood lighting. There is nothing like placing a few mood lights around a room to revitalize it and change what it looks like. One problem that people face is the actual cost of buying and installing all of these mood lights. Thankfully, we've found a cheaper way to accomplish this, with just a little TLC, you'll change moods easily and cheaply.

This incredible and easy way to change the mood of a room involves creating a series of lamps using Vallo watering cans. If you place a few like these around the target room, you'll effectively change its mood. Sometimes, lighting that initially worked well with decorations might all of a sudden seem dated. That's where these lamps will come useful. Changing the general mood is easy with these great looking lamps.

The result of this assemblage is a functioning and great looking mood light, one which can be used easily moved around. The benefit of using extremely cheap, but great looking watering cans is that there is no real limit in how many you can create this way. The costs in creating this lamp costs under $4. Placing a few in the corners will most definitely change the general feel of a room.

The lamps are created by simply combining a light fixture with a Vallo watering can and some Ikea Parlor Glass Decoration, which sell for $2 each. The glass stones help with the light and they make the Vallo watering can heavier and more steady on its feet. The Vallo isn't heat resistant, so it's best to stay with some cooler light sources, like LEDs and fluorescent light bulbs. The Ikea stones provide people with an easy way of stabilizing the lamp. By using LEDs, you can solve the heat issue and not worry about melting the Vallo can. [via Ikea Hacker]
