There's something about fall that makes us want to edit, purge, and organize. And living in the perennial hope, as we do, that just the right organizational device will make life simpler, every fall we find ourselves longing after the Uten.Silo storage system.

We can see this classic piece, which was first designed in 1969 and was recently reissued by demand, taking our kids through from babyhood (holding diapers, wipes, and other paraphernalia) to the teenage years (holding school supplies and heaven-help-us-knows-what).

From what we're told, the Utensilo's molded ABS plastic construction is rugged enough to withstand almost anything your kids can throw at it over the years. Available in white, red and black, it comes in two sizes: Small measures 26.5" by 20.5" and large measures 34.25" by 26.5".

$295 and $320 at Modernseed
