Valentines Garden Recipes

Second only to Christmas, Valentines Day is a baking holiday. Who hasn't tried to woo a loved one by trying their hand at making a death by chocolate, truffle, strawberry, raspberry, molten, mocha, heart-shaped, liqueur, cake-tart? (that in my case never really lives up to expectations). So this year, I am trying out a different kind of baking: garden baking.

Not for human consumption but still a fun set of kitchen projects that lets you mix and blend and get your hands dirty, these garden recipes are perfect for a heartfelt DIY valentine.

Heart Shaped Seed Bomb - Find a great selection of Heirloom and Rare seeds at Select Seeds (I am intrigued by the 'new to me' Love-in-a-Puff (Cardiospermum halicacabum) climbing vine plant)

How to make Seed Paper (DIY) -- Which can be manipulated into all kids of valentines stationary.

Seeded Paper Flowers. - I would love a long lasting bouquet of these sweet paper flowers!

Bird Seed Balls - Their is something kinda romantic about giving a gift that will bring sweet birds into someone's life.

Have you kitchen-made a Valentine that wasn't edible? What did you make?
