There's do-it-yourself, and then there's the home of artists Cheri Pann & Gonzalo Duran. Imagine if Antonio Gaudi moved to Los Angeles and decided to spruce up a bland beige stucco home in Venice Beach. Since 1994, the couple has transformed their home, inside and out, room by room, into a piece of living artwork using mirror shards, broken tile and the remnants of garage sale pieces to amazing effect. It's not personally my aesthetic, but I love the results nonetheless.
You can take a house tour in person by making an appointment or try to catch them on an episode of "What's With That House" on HGTV. More photos and contact/direction information here. [via Neatorama]
