Vera Bradley Launches Bedding
Fans of color, rejoice. The iconic maker of patterned quilted bags, Vera Bradley, has expanded into actual quilts. The company’s first line of bedding launched this week, and is already selling out.
The floral meets pattern combo of a Vera Bradley bag gets a fresh twist for the bedroom, with playful paisleys, oversized poppies, and a pared down Swedish motif, to name a few. The line includes quilts, shams, duvet covers, and accent pillows ranging in price from $29.99 to $179.99.
A few sizes and patterns are already selling out on VeraBradley.com, but the items are also being sold in Bed Bath & Beyond and Bon Ton stores. The brand also has a pop up bedding section in their store in New York’s Soho neighborhood, which is open until August 23.
“Launching our first Bedding Collection is such an exciting step for Vera Bradley,” said Barbara Bradley Baekgaard, Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer of Vera Bradley, said in a press release. “Creating a beautiful and comfortable home that expresses one’s personality and lifestyle has always been a passion of mine. The patterns and pieces offered in our new collection will add a gorgeous and creative touch to any home.”
The brand has also launched a 360 shopping experience online and use a VR headset to shop in ten test stores around the country, through a partnership with Obsess VR and Daydream by Google. “Creating an innovative customer experience is a top priority for Vera Bradley,” said CEO Robert Wallstrom. “Our partnership with Obsess VR is the first of many that will revolutionize and modernize in-store shopping. We’re delighted to bring this experiential high-tech platform to our consumer.”
