Verpan Lighting: Using Wires... As Art?

Verpan Lighting: Using Wires... As Art?

While most of us are OCDC when it comes to stowing away our wires, but until everything goes wireless, we might as well embrace it. Or at least, that's what the team at Verpan Lighting has done with their inspirational line of gravity defying, awesome-lookin' lamps. Pricing and availability, after the jump.

A great example of Verpan Panton's remarkable faith in unlimited possibilities of the lighting form can be seen in many of his latest collection. Instead of having the cable hidden like most pendant lamps, he emphasizes our reliance on external power (and our planet) by carefully giving a little bit of wire exposure as it wraps around the side of the lamp, as if eloquently hanging from a thread. Like some designers tend to say, "It's all in the details."
