Renovated by Roman architects Claudio Lazzarini and Carl Pickering, the villa is an open, airy space that uses pattern in ingenious ways.

A white background offsets bright pink sectionals, suzanis as artwork, and tile patterns that move across the furniture and onto the walls. To get a similar look, we’d start with a bold suzani and build a color scheme around it. For suzani sources, click here.

To experiment with similar patterns on your furniture and walls, look into tiled wallpaper like these patterns from Hanna Werning. If you’re adventurous, you might try wallpapering a clean-lined coffee table with a tile pattern. Click here for the how-to.
