Vintage Holiday Cards

Vintage Holiday Cards

Halloween is over and the next big holidays are just around the corner. While many of us are jumping on the technology wagon and sending e-cards, we're still huge fans of good old fashioned cards in the mail. There's no feeling quite like opening up your mail box and finding a stack of handwritten holiday greeting cards!

In an effort to make our holiday cards extra special this year, we're thinking of going vintage. It's also a pretty great way to be resourceful instead of purchasing brand new cards. We really like the quirkiness and overall retro feel from these vintage cards and we know they'll make each and ever recipient feel special.

The first place we thought to look for vintage holiday cards was Etsy, of course! There are vintage cards for just about every occasion you can think of, and some for just the heck of it. Here are our two favorites:

Vintage Antique Merry Christmas Greeting Cards Four 1940s, $12.50
Vintage Cute and Funny Christmas Cards 1940s, $6.95

If you're wanting to save money and paper, a great idea is to scan several different vintage holiday cards and email them with a somewhat personal note. The charm and thoughtfulness can still be translated, even through email!

What do you think of vintage holiday cards?
