It’s official: the transparent trend has made its way to luxury travel. Modern luggage retailer Rimowa is celebrating 120 years of sophisticated travel with the June 25 release of their collaboration with Italian streetwear brand, Off-White.

Creative-in-Chief Virgil Abloh and Off-White are used to making a statement; the designer’s upcoming collection with IKEA includes rugs that say KEEP OFF, as well as one that’s printed with a store receipt.

The transparent carry-on suitcase will feature Rimowa consumer favorites like the multiwheel system and TSA combination lock, in conjunction with the minimalist aesthetic of Off-White. With a clear body, the carry-on includes pouches labeled “miscellaneous” for the items you may not want the crowd at airport security eyeing in line, in addition to interchangeable wheels in Off-White orange for added flavor.

“This collaboration was an experimentation where we studied traveling and one’s emotional connection to their own “personal belongings,” said Abloh. “This project had been in the works for a while and now the accumulation of various ideas from over a long period of time will be released to the world. I have an affinity for a brand as authentic and longstanding as Rimowa and I enjoyed the task of bringing new ideas to that equation.”

This isn’t Rimowa’s first time mashing up with a clothing brand. In the past year, they’ve teamed up with Fendi and Supreme to create travel accessories that combine their individual brand identities with the traditional elements of Rimowa.

The Rimowa x Off-White collab will be available for purchase in select RIMOWA and Off-White stores, rimowa.com (Europe), select wholesale partners, and a pop-up store on wechat on June 25.
