You Can Officially Book Your Ticket on the Adults-Only Virgin Voyages Cruise
Richard Branson has officially ventured into a new field outside of cell phones and airplanes. Now Virgin is dabbling in cruise lines! The best part? Virgin Voyages won’t have buffets and it is adults only!
Virgin Voyages is officially open for booking now! The Scarlet Lady is a 2,700 passenger vessel that is geared toward people 18-and-up. As of February 14, people can head to the company’s website to book their first trip, which will first set sail in April 2020. To start out you can choose from several options that sail between April and October of next year, all of which will stop in the Bahamas.
There is a 4-day or 5-day Havana After Dark trip that will take people on an epic journey from Miami to Cuba’s capital, with a stop at Virgin’s private beach club in Bimini, Bahamas as well. There is a 5-night Mayan Sol trip that explores the shores of the Yucatán Peninsula that will have a bonfire party under the stars in Bimini and then stop in Costa Maya to explore ancient ruins. There is a 5-day Dominican Daze trip that begins in Miami and will sail to the white shores of the Dominican Republic, stop by the private beach club in Bimini, and give people time to explore the city streets of Puerto Plata. Trips can start out as low as $2,000 per cabin, which comfortably fits two people.
Virgin Voyages won’t have traditional buffets as most cruise lines do. Instead, they will offer a mix of Eataly-inspired food halls based on food-centric cities, like New York and Mexico City. Passengers can choose between casual and formal options, as the ship will have food trucks and fine dining experiences. According to Delish, there will even be a boozy drag brunch!
For those who love a good birthday bash, you can actually book a trip to celebrate with Richard Branson. His Birthday Bash takes off on July 15, 2020. The ship will set sail from Miami, Florida and starts out at $3,100 per cabin.
Prepare for an extra extravagant sail in honor of Richard Branson’s 70th birthday. We’ll be setting sail from vibrant Miami to Cuba’s capital and celebrating Richard’s birthday — complete with see-through water and snow-white beaches. That’s all we can say right now. Arriving at 9:30 a.m. in Havana and leaving the next day, you’ll have plenty of time to bike the unexplored streets and savor a mojito at the local bars after the sun sets. #ScrewItLetsDoIt
The ship has an outdoor lounge that resembles lounges you’d see in Ibiza, the Hamptons, and Bali. There is a sports bar that offers games while being steps away from a jacuzzi and pool. For people looking to dance the night away, they can head to The Manor on board. For anyone looking to work out while on vacation, the gym on board is state-of-the-art. And after a good workout, you can head to the dream-like spa that has a hydrotherapy pool, a mud room, a salt room, cold plunge pools, quartz beds, and rejuvenating spa treatments. Is it 2020 yet?
You can head to Virgin Voyages website to check out all that is offered and book your trip now.
