Frank Lloyd Wright's Robie House is a Chicago classic that helped to define American residential architecture. It's only fitting that it receive a thorough restoration - and it has - you can tour rooms in the home and see its interior as envisioned by Wright in 1910. You can visit right now, in fact, since the restoration is digital.
This virtual tour is very accurate; textile colors were pulled from original yarn threads that had been archived and the lighting effects were based on reproduction period light bulbs to ensure an authentic "glow". This level of detail did not go unnoticed - the digital restoration has just been awarded a Webby award for Cultural Institutions.
