Warm and Wooden Vases from Brian David Johnson

While checking out the Austin furniture event, Rough Cut, that I mentioned in last week's post, I came across a woodworker who I am familiar with, but who has a new line of good-looking modern accessories that I have never seen before — and I am loving them!

I posted about Brian David Johnson a long time ago on Apartment Therapy. He's a skilled woodworker and craftsman with a unique, modern style, and his furniture pieces have long since been a favorite of mine. His latest foray into modern decor accessories is what I'm interested in currently.

His Bud vases are tall, with a rounded shape, and they come in a variety of woods like cherry, hickory, walnut and more. Finished with a smooth surface and showing a subtle layered or brick look, these would make an excellent addition to almost any style home. At $55 each, I think they are priced well, too.

Though more like a box than a vase, his Succulent Cube is also a sweet modern accessory for the home. You can find more information about Brian David Johnson on his website, and his vases are on sale at his Etsy store.
