Waterproof Coating for Your Brave Little Gadgets

Taryn comes in to save us from ourselves... during our most glorious moments.

Late into a night of too many cocktails, we find ourselves—and our gadgets—making less than brilliant decisions. It's that contagious liquid courage that makes our BlackBerry decide it's alright to go scuba diving in the fish tank (or toilet!) tonight.

If you're like us, you too probably find yourself the next morning taking apart your phone piece by piece on and spreading it across a dry towel on the kitchen counter.

Good news: The Golden Shellback splashproof coating is a waterproof polymer that covers your gadgets inside and out. Bad news: You might be in for a few more late-night toilet dives because it's not yet available.

When the coating does become available to the public, you'll have a chance to send your devices to the company to apply the waterproof coating for you. The company expects pricing to range from $50 to $75 depending on the gadget.
