Periodic fridge clean-outs one of those mindless, no-frills affairs whose rewards are favorably disproportionate to the work involved. When your icebox is organized, the benefits grow exponentially: you can see what food you actually have, less food goes to waste, and you're better equipped to face weekday dinner and lunches.
