This Weekend: This Routine Cleaning Task Is a Serious Soul-Saver

Periodic fridge clean-outs one of those mindless, no-frills affairs whose rewards are favorably disproportionate to the work involved. When your icebox is organized, the benefits grow exponentially: you can see what food you actually have, less food goes to waste, and you're better equipped to face weekday dinner and lunches. All from one easy job that can take less than 30 minutes.

This Weekend's Assignment: Clean and organize your fridge!

Clean It Out!: Either do a quick blitz, or a deep dive to get rid of all the old condiments you no longer use, nasty old food, so you can start fresh again (and hopefully keep it that way):

Now Reorganize: Make use of all your fridge's fancy features by putting food in the place that will keep it fresh longest, and make things easy to grab and use. Here are some of our best tricks and advice:
