The only downside to a weighted blanket is the fact that you can’t be under it at all times. Due to, well, the weight, these things can’t easily be thrown over your shoulders while at your home office desk or making a quick trip to the kitchen. But, thanks to a collaboration between Gravity Blankets and Modernist, you can now officially wear your weighted blanket in robe form, and nope, you’re never going to leave the house again.

The companies teamed up to create the world’s first weighted robe, which comes with a three-pound weighted collar that promotes stress relief and relaxation. It also has a fleece finish to up the comfy factor.

The robe is available in navy, gray, and white and comes in small, medium, and large. It should be noted that the collar is the only weighted area in the robe, which allows you to wear the garment and reap the rewards of “deep touch pressure stimulation” without discomfort.

“[Deep touch pressure stimulation is] the feeling of being held (like a hug!), just like the Gravity Blanket, which increases serotonin and melatonin, the hormones responsible for relaxation, and decreases cortisol, the hormone responsible for stress,” the Gravity Blankets website reads.

The weighted portion of the robe is detachable via a hidden zip in the collar for easy washing or wear without the element of weight.

Now that many of us are working from home and yet stressed out to the max, the weighted robe is coming in clutch to ease our anxiety and give us a warm hug in our time of need. Phew.
