A concrete bathtub? Well, no. It looks like concrete, but it's Syndecrete -- a natural cement-based, precast product with high recycled content that is lighter and stronger than concrete.

The Syndecrete web site claims that the material is actually more like to wood than concrete when it comes to workability.

We made a quick stop at the Syndecrete booth while we roamed the Expo Hall at West Coast Green.

It's a sleek, modern material that is ultra-adaptable. It can be used for sinks, countertops, bathtubs, showers, tables, stairs ...

Unfortunately, we don't have any figures as far as pricing is concerned. And the Syndecrete web site hides all of its product info in pesky little downloadable PDFs.

Still we think it's beautiful and had a lot of fun browsing their image gallery.
