West Elm x TOMS collaboration for 2021 of indoor/outdoor slip-ons and slippers in rose, gray, and a modern Welsh-inspired pattern with a blanket shown too

Just in time for cozy season and the holidays, TOMS Footwear is partnering with West Elm on a limited-edition collection of giftable slippers and slip-ons in exclusive prints, patterns, and materials. For anyone who’s ever wanted to wear slippers outdoors, you’re looking at a range of styles that does let you do just that.

As part of the collection, seven indoor/outdoor slip-ons and slippers will be available in men’s, women’s, and kid’s sizing in TOMS stores nationwide and on their website. Fans of the footwear brand will be happy to see the popular Alpargata and convertible heel Ezra as part of the range. For some of the styles’ exteriors, in-house designers at West Elm created a modern Welsh print, one that riffs on a traditional Caernarfon design of repeated pixilated squares, spikes, and dots. Though this motif dates back to late 19th century/early 20th century weaving in Wales, these patterns were popular on mid-century textiles as well, particularly blankets and bed covers, making the application here feel appropriate for this comfort-first line.

The colorways also feel festive — think dusty roses, grays, and creams with hits of blue — but on the whole, the vibe is wintry versus Christmasy. The solid designs have gotten either an on-trend waffle knit or bouclé fabric makeover, while the lining on each style features a warm faux shearling fabric. West Elm will also be offering a cuddly, organic brushed cotton, sherpa-backed throw blanket in a boho stripe pattern that matches back to the collection, as shown below.

Prices for the shoes start at $36.95 for the kid’s slip-ons and top out at $64.95 for adult slipper styles, while the blanket comes in at $80. Many of the items have an eco-friendly aspect to them, too, whether that’s through recycled fiber and/or organic cotton construction or EVA outsoles, which are made of sugarcane, a renewable resource that removes carbon from the air. Pieces won’t be restocked after they sell through though, so if you, a loved one, or a friend wears a popular size, get your order in as soon as possible.
