West Elm wants to be your handyman. The retailer has recently expanded an installation pilot program to nine cities, where you can get a selection of home improvement services done for fixed fees.

Installation services include hanging curtains, mounting a TV, painting a 12'x12' room, and creating a gallery wall, starting at $129. You can also hire someone to do custom projects for $129 per hour.

"We had customers who were frustrated because they would buy a product and it would sit on the floor in a box for three months," spokeswoman Abigail Jacobs tells Bloomberg. "We've been looking at all those pain points and trying to solve them."
