More technology and media in our home means needing even more hard drive space. In a world where we are creating more digital media to save, we are creating a need for more space to store it.

Western Digital has addressed our increased storage needs with its 1 Terabyte (that's 1,000 GB!) My Book Hard Drive. Big space comes at a large price, selling for $500.

The storage device becomes part of your home network and allows you to access your files from wherever you are in the world. Since it is a part of your network, this also means that it does not have to be in immediate vicinity of your computer, only needing to be connected to your router.

My Book increases the amount of storage you have available without cluttering your home and life with multiple storage devices. It's slim, book-like design allows it to easily hide on a bookshelf.

If you haven't quite grown into a Terabyte, a 500 GB version is also available for $280.
