What Colors Catch Your Eye For Kids Rooms?

Nurseries and kids' rooms are hardly pink for girls, blue for boys these days. We've seen amazing nurseries taking as their color palette almost every color of the rainbow - even black. But what about for you? Is there a color that especially excites your imagination for your next kids room redo?

For me, it's bright yellow. Not warm like sunshine but not all the way cool like lemon - somewhere in between. I can't think of a color more perfectly suited to a happy, energized, and fresh space. I couldn't do it on the walls, however. Still: pops of it here and there just seem perfectly in harmony with everything else that's going on in the room belonging to my kids.

When we had the live chats during the Style Cure, Maxwell said his key colors for kids' spaces are all warm - magentas and oranges. You can see evidence of this as they pepper his and Ursula's new space.

What about you? What colors do you think really work when it comes to a kids' room? Are there any you could just never do? Share your thoughts below!
