Q: My husband and I recently bought a new house and we have been slowly furnishing it. We have a semi-open floor plan in the living and dining rooms. Both rooms are painted the same pale grey-blue, have dark hardwood floors and trim, and each room has two large windows with white decorative trim and nice linen blinds. The living room has orange, white, and dark blue-grey accents. The dining room has pale blue and white accents along with some mixed metals and reclaimed wood. Both rooms feel a bit cold, and I would love to install curtains that tie the rooms together, warm them up, and give them some personality.
I would love to have print curtains, but am afraid it might be too much with the bold print rugs in each room. I have been stuck on this project for awhile, and feel it's impossible to move forward with other design choices (art, lighting) until we pick the perfect curtains. Thank you for your help!
