Q: My grandfather, who loved to travel around the US, collected license plates. When he passed away about 15 years ago, I took his box of old license plates. I don't remember how many, but it's an impressive collection with most states represented. They've been in storage since then but I'd love to figure out some way to display them. However, when I look around the Internet, everything I see is pretty...tacky...
I have a smallish house (990 square feet for me and my kid). According to the Apartment Therapy quiz, my decorating style is a mix of "happy modern" and "warm industrial" with a strong dose of "incredibly busy single mom who's never been very neat or organized even on her best days." Any ideas for how I could use them? Or are they condemned to just stay in their box? Also, I live in Seattle, so anything hung outside will rust instantly. -Sent by Mijo
Editor: There are three ideas in the Reusing License Plates to Make Art post from 2008, but I'm sure you all can come up with even better ideas. How can Mijo honor their inheritance? Thanks!
