Room Mate Giulia hotel by Patricia Urquiola: Spanish designer Patricia Urquiola has brought her trademark cheerful colors and unconventional shapes to every part of this Milan hotel — but this bathroom, with its old-school square wall tile and and contrasting black and red sinks, is my favorite. — Nancy Mitchell, Senior Writer

Sarah Sherman Samuel’s New Wallpaper Line: I’ve been swooning over Sarah Sherman Samuel’s custom pink agate wallpaper ever since I laid eyes on the room the designer and blogger dreamed up for the Christopher Kennedy Compound Show House in Palm Springs earlier this year. So I was giddy to find out that Sarah released that particular design as well as a handful of others via Lulu & Georgia this week. I may not be adding any perma wallpaper to my rental, but a girl can dream, can’t she? — Arlyn Hernandez, Design Editor

Zero Waste Daniel: Fashion designer Daniel Silverstein is in his second act — this one with an inspiring mission to rescue fabric scraps from landfills and turn them into fashion. What began as a single shirt he made for himself by sewing scraps together has grown into a project employing a small team working alongside Silverstein in his Brooklyn shop. “I want to be able to say to people: This is Emily. She’s 25, she lives in New York and she is super passionate about climate change and she deserves a living wage. She made this shirt…It’s not “why is this less expensive?” it’s “this is why this costs this much.” You can shop ZWD in person at the Williamsburg store or online. Ragmuf Chair Covers: If you love either Nick Cave or Boucherite rugs, you’ll probably love these fantastically colorful chair covers from Scandinavian company Ragamuf. Anglepoise + Paul Smith Lamps: I’m of the opinion that everything can be improved by a pop of color (or twenty). So when I spotted the new lighting collab between iconic British brands Anglepoise and Paul Smith, I knew I had to share.
