Yesterday the New York Design Center at 200 Lex hosted a day of talks and programs called What's New What's Next, where industry luminaries shared their thoughts on design trends and revealed their latest product lines for the season.

Laura Kirar is pictured before the jump during her session at Arteriors Home, where she discussed additions to her Caviar line with the preeminent lighting and glass accessories vendor. These innovations include a fashion-forward rose gold colorway, fixed clusters at predetermined pendant heights, and some pieces with adjustable lengths, too.

Shown above, Hickory Chair | Pearson introduced apartment-sized menswear-inspired furniture pieces, which can be juxtaposed with a line of ethnic textile prints. Lonny Magazine Editor in Chief Michelle Adams shared her point of view on these items, and she especially loved the indigo tie-dyed linen which she kindly modeled for the camera.

Finally, Mitch Owens, the special projects editor at Architectural Digest, gave an in-depth talk about the many different styles of gallery spaces in residential interiors. The Profiles showroom hosted the event, and their furniture and accessories have an unexpected rustic elegance that is truly unique in the market.
