Q: My husband and I have a love/hate relationship with our TV. He loves it; I hate it. Our living room [photo below] is always a work-in-progress but what is hindering it for me is the TV. I refuse to mount it above the fireplace because I think it’s tacky and takes away from the beauty of a mantel…

On the right wall we have a huge Leroy Neiman print that I won at an art auction on our honeymoon. It is the only wall in the house that will accommodate the painting’s size and we both love it there. Furthermore, the TV stand was assembled haphazardly in the middle of the night when we had finished moving other furniture in. I am definitely not opposed to switching out the stand but would like some suggestions on placement, or a decent corner TV stand option. Thoughts? -Sent by Sarah

Editor: We are currently in the process of installing our TV over the fireplace—though our mantle isn’t nearly as pretty as yours is.
