Flickr Finds: Multitasking Wallunit

While perusing Flickr for décor ideas we came upon a New Yorker's solution for packing a media center, library, and home office in one wall within her small bedroom.

Using Ikea's Ivar shelving unit as her base, Gail built out folding doors, a turntable tray, a keyboard tray, and a desk...

She built a cabinet below her computer to store her printer and external hard-drive. Her scanner is tucked away on a shelf above her computer. All A/V components fit in the Ivar shelving unit to the left of her TV. She painted everything one color so it looks like it's all part of the same piece. Gail wouldn't let us show a more close-up shot of her set-up so you'll just have to go to her Flickr page to see what she's done.

We love the idea, but our one suggestion is installing a bulletin board behind her computer to hide those dangling wires in this photo.
