An old brand learns new tricks. Today, Williams Sonoma launched its first ever home decor collaboration in its 60 year history with luxury lifestyle brand AERIN.
AERIN, for those unfamiliar, was founded by beauty industry royalty Aerin Lauder, granddaughter of Estée Lauder. It debuted in 2012 with candles, cosmetics, and home accessories, and quickly expanded into furniture, rugs, and lighting.
Lauder loves to entertain, and the tabletop collection is classic and effortless in blue and white—inspired by traditional delft pottery—and includes ceramic dinnerware and serveware, glassware, entertaining pieces and outdoor pillows.
For decor, the collection focuses on chinoiserie florals and costal-inspired motifs, natural fibers such as raffia and linen and a muted pastel color palate with gold accents. It includes pillows, bedding, hand painted cachepots and sculptural pieces, decorative metal and ceramic objects, artwork and chandeliers. Some of our favorites are the table lamps, statement pieces in their own right, taking gilded, nature-inspired forms and utilizing beautiful materials like tortoiseshell and mother of pearl.
"Collaborating with Aerin Lauder was an exciting endeavor for our brand. Her impeccable sense of style and love for entertaining made her an ideal partner," said Janet Hayes, President of Williams Sonoma and Williams Sonoma Home, in a press release.
Lauder had equally glowing things to say. "Williams Sonoma has been in my home for as long as I can remember. I am honored to be collaborating with a brand I have admired for so long. Both AERIN and William Sonoma share the same sense of style and passion for impeccable design. I am so excited to launch this exclusive collection offering a large variety of pieces that speak to my heritage, passion for entertaining and love for home decor."
The collection is available online as of today and in all 230 William Sonoma stores nationwide.
