Please go to our new link for Wonk.

"Inspired, thoughtfully designed, and reasonably priced." That's the furniture mission behind Wonk, one Brooklyn's growing sources for original design. They're also opening a new store in Williamsburg and having a party this week:

THUR MARCH 22nd @ 6:30 pm
160 North 4th Street [b/t Bedford and Driggs - Williamsburg]
Wine, Food, Music, Good People, Great Design

Started in 2004, Wonk specializes in all the furniture you need for a home, except for the bed and the sofa. They have an ever widening variety of tables, chairs, dressers and other storage pieces, that are boxy, modern and stripped down. Think of these pieces as building blocks and sort of a cross between Blu Dot and Ikea (with a high quality).

Our favorites are the Carroll lacquered shelves ($325), The Boris Dining Table ($975), and the Home Office setup, which reminds us of a grown up David Netto collection.

*Second store: 160 North 4th Street [b/t Bedford and Driggs] in Williamsburg
