033011-woodcases.jpgWe never thought we'd say it, but wood is officially our go to material for protecting our gadgets. It's durable, reliable and not seriously expensive. We're willing to drop $100 on a wood laptop case if we know it's going to ensure the laptop remain safe during transport. Plus, they look so darn cool.

Blackbox Case, $99-$129: Made from solid oak, these laptop cases ensure your laptop doesn't get damaged. It may seem like it would be super heavy, but it's actually about the same weight as a beer bottle.

Wooden Laptop Case with Leather Lining, $340-$360: Made from wood and lined with leather — this is one of the most stylish wood cases we've ever seen. It even has a magnetic closure to keep your laptop safe and sound inside.

Miniot Custom Wood Covers, $70-$120: This may be marketed for the iPad, but it can easily work with other e-readers on the market. It unfolds to protect the screen while not in use and rolls up to transform itself into stand.

JackBacks Custom Wood Covers, $89-$150: We recently reviewed JackBacks and really liked the products. You can custom engrave these wood backs. The backs come in a variety of wood and actually make the iPhone a lot lighter!

What wood cases do you recommend?
