Name: Yummygum (Leon Ephraim and Vincent Schwidder)
Location: Amsterdam, The Netherlands
Size: 215 square feet

It's not often we get to trip over to the Netherlands, let alone enjoy an up-close and personal tour of a home office renovation project that's just recently reached completion. Yummygum, a web design company over in Amsterdam, opens their doors to us today so we can enjoy, what seems to be, the ultimate example of perfected home office wire organization.

AT Survey:

My/our style: Minimal, white and clean. No distractions and uncluttered.

The inspiration for my home office: We mainly found our inspiration in our own branding. We embrace aminimal mind set in our corporate visual identity and wanted to recreate this feeling in our office.

Favorite element in your space: We absolutely love the huge sticker of our logo on the wall. Clients and other visitors are always pleasantly surprised to see we branded the space with our logo. It definitely adds to the Yummygum-feeling.

Biggest challenge in designing my space: The biggest challenge was finding a desk that had the right dimensions, and would be a match with our brand. We didn't have a very high budget, so a lot of (designer) desks we're too expensive or didn't meet our demands. As a result, we decided the best solution was to build the desk ourselves.

What friends say about my space: We recently had the 1 year anniversary of Yummygum combined with the official viewing of our office with friends and family. We received a lot of positive feedback about all the little details in the office. They loved the little Yummygum logo as cable hole, the chairs and the overall "clean and open"-feeling.

Area where there is room for improvement/future projects: We're planning on hiding a beamer in the office to use with presentations for clients. We're also trying to find better and prettier chairs for our clients.

Proudest DIY (do it yourself) project: Definitely the desk. We put a lot of work in designing and building this custom made desk to meet our demands. We love that it is big enough to have meetings at with clients, use it to sketch new designs and still have room for our computers.

Biggest indulgence with respect to my space: See above!

Best advice about organizing or incorporating tech into the home: To achieve the most minimal and uncluttered look, we build special and hidden spaces and compartments for our cables and power supplies. We also used the BlueLounge CableBox to hide our main power supply for our computers. The laptop we connect to one of our LCD screens is hidden underneath the desk with a custom build compartment.

Dream source for stuff: Apple.

Home Tech Hardware: Apple, Fabricati, BlueLounge, Bijenkorf and IKEA but the prettiest
stuff is custom build!
