Name: Alex
Location: Hell's Kitchen - New York, New York

My studio is a big, modern space in Hell's Kitchen. My friend recommended that I decorate my place like a boutique hotel room. That became the blueprint the my whole style.

I created a bedroom area with a Gus Modern wingback bed and a great print of an Airstream. A half rectangle, grey bookshelf separates the living room area without blocking the sight lines to the window.

I hid the terrible vertical blinds with floor length sheer white panels. The white desk and clear table lamp make up the work area without too much visual weight. Everyone loves the floor length mirror (it's the first place guests wander to at a party...)

Mounting the TV to the wall cleared up a lot of space on the media console, making room for a sansevieria plant and vintage looking fan (actually from Amazon). The pull out couch from Crate & Barrel makes it easier to host guests.

My kitchen doesn't have a lot of storage. To make up for it, I used as much of the wall space as possible: knives are mounted by magnets to the fridge, and utensil bars keep the tools close, but out of the way.

Thanks, Alex!
