I love this kitchen remodel from Olives and Daisies. It's definitely green to find ways to make do with what you have rather than buying new or throwing things away, and in this case they did a few simple things that had major payoff: painted the cabinets, took out some upper cabinets, replaced a few doors and worked on the hardware among other things. The transformation is really incredible considering the minimal investment. Well done!
Letting the light in, embracing open shelving and utilizing reflective surfaces made a dramatic impact on this space. The folks over at Olives and Daises got this great project done in 3 weeks on their own.
Not only do we love the changes they made, we especially love what they kept. So without changing much of the cabinetry or flooring this transformation is dramatic and modern.

Shaw's Original Fir...
WOW great job
WOW great job
Amazing! Extremely well done and very inspiring.
Huge improvement. Well done!
We're house shopping. Nearly every house I see, I jab my poor husband in the ribs and shriek, "now wouldn't this kitchen be SO much prettier and bright if we just painted the cabinets white?!" ...and he dutifully agrees. Every time.
Dare I show him this post? Fuel my fire?? ;)
I *love* it but white does not last in my home, even with regular scrubbing (which I do almost religiously). Already tried it. There must be clean, obedient children or no children in this home :o)
Not that I am advocating the before picture--no way! A vast improvement, no doubt. Nicely done!
Amazing transformation
The countertops...ooooh I love those countertops! Especially paired with the silver hardware and green walls. I could definitely cook in this space :)
What's the green color on the wall?
Love this kitchen!
Thank you all for your excitement about our new kitchen!! We love it! I was a ton of hard work but we are so happy with it...anyways to answer a few questions - nope no kids in the house, but as kids the cabinets in our house were painted and my mom's reasoning was that at least then you can see the mess and wipe it up, dark cabinets just hides it...
As for the green paint color its a custom color that I created from about 6 different greens that were just "not right", I got it at Home Depot, I will post a picture of the label so you can have home depot re-create it for you...I will put up a link to the photo when I have it up...
Hi! Here is the info on the paint color we used in our kitchen:

Lovely! Reminds me a bit of my friend's kitchen, she has the same hardware but her walls are more of a kelly green.
Amazing how a color change can bring so much light in a kitchen. Thank you for the inspiration.
