Walking by this mess is what I suspect most people would do if they saw this sadly torn up chair (myself included). It takes a confident upholsterer who knows their stuff to see its potential. But that didn't stop Shannon and Kate from the challenge...

Kate Troyer founder of the textile design company Wippowillow and colleague Shannon really went the distance for this chair which included taking a master upholstering class, silkscreening the fabric and then finally putting it all back together.

They wanted to keep the classic integrity of the original piece and simply contrast it with an unexpected modern textile. Their efforts were well worth it and they ended up with quite the looker. Hats off to you both!
