Rebecca and her family have lived in a 1955 mid-century modern home in Newport Beach for 16 years. In the beginning, the authentic, but cozy, mid-century modern bathrooms charmed them. In time, however, their small size and dated finishes started to drive the family nuts, and they decided it was time for a change. Keep on clicking for the after shots.

Rebecca added about 167 square feet to the back of the house, a portion of which went to a newly configured guest bathroom. The enlarged space is very spa-like, with a huge tub and glass shower. They stayed true to the house's mid-century roots, choosing a modern vanity with clean lines. New landscaping outside means an improved view from the bathtub as well.

You can see more angles over at Rebecca's blog, Mid Century Modern Remodel, along with photos of the other bathrooms to boot.

Thanks for sharing your project with us, Rebecca!
