I'm more than slightly obsessed with this renovation; it's ignited all my fantasies about: a) owning a small home somewhere in the country; and b) having an even smaller guest house somewhere on the property. And don't get me started about my mad love for New Zealand. Ugh. I need to stop now.

Gemma and her husband took this old railroad cabin and created a Kiwi meets Scandinavian bedroom. It's simple, well-styled and — in my mind — perfect.

Hop on over to Line x Shape x Colour for more beautiful photos. She also links to a tour of their full-time home in Sydney, which is worth a look.

I'm inspired too! Love this!
Super cute!
The bees knees.
The cat's pajamas.
So cute! Love this!
Not a lot was done to this dwelling, but Gemma was wise enough to know what needed to be done to turn it into a charmer. Some places are dirty and in disrepair, while others are just dirty and need some TLC. Gemma did a marvelous job in reclaiming this little gem. And the surfboard in the front just nails it!
Peachy keen!
*sigh*
Adorable! Love it so much.
Could someone share the sorcery behind keeping white walls and floors clean though? Because I don't actually like to clean daily (or sometimes even weekly) and I just don't see something like this holding up well given my lifestyle...
But, oh!, how I wish I could live that lifestyle!
Wonderful, I dream of having a home like that when my kids grow up. At least I know they won't want to stay over.
i love this! i would add a micro kitchen and move in... permanently. i would build an "outhouse" with shower, sink and toilet. i would be in heaven and never leave!
Nice outside, but last year I witnessed a 100 year old floor in about the same condition as the 'before' beautifully refinished. I suppose here, it was just faster and cheaper to paint. Have to call that a lasting 'missed opportunity'.
amazing contrast from the outside into the inside....I'd sleep in there :D.
It's super!! I love it!!!
